Our desire is to give you the tools and techniques to achieve a balanced and fulfilling lifestyle. After several sessions, you will become well-versed at handling issues whenever and wherever they arise.
ReNew has a threefold purpose
Provide education and awareness weekends for churches and faith-based organizations
Provide facilitator training and a 9 week curriculum for ReNew support groups inside a church context for those who are dealing with or affected by mental health issues
Provide a residential recovery facility (Redemption Recovery Center) to help work professionally with those who are dealing with addictions and mental wellness issues.
The church can be a very judgemental place. Pastors, elders, deacons, ministry leaders, and others in Church leadership, non-profit, or faith-based leadership positions often struggle with the pressure associated with having others depend on them for Biblical teaching, guidance, and encouragement. Added to this is the admiration and respect from the Church body, and the personal validation that can result from this status. Satan can use these positive aspects to develop pride, guilt, and opportunity for sin as weapons to pressure a leader’s heart and mind.
This can lead to hiding sinful thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Church leaders can tend to isolate this part of themselves from others, as they fear being “exposed” as a hypocrite, or being judged by those they are expected to lead. While most become involved in church leadership due to a calling by God to ministry and an intrinsic desire to serve His people, their sinful nature and human fallibility can become a stumbling block for their walk with God. ReNew can help by providing clarity on how to approach ReNewing their minds in a healthy and biblical context while providing the tools and resources to live out their true identity and calling.
Most churches have not even started the conversation of how to help this ever growing issue but ReNew is a program to come alongside church leaders to provide an effective tool to help start a ReNew Program in their church. The ReNew Guide will provide a churchwide Mental Health Awareness Weekend launch, ReNew program facilitator training, and a 9 week ReNew Guide curriculum that will provide a support group environment and help in this area of mental health to increase awareness and support to individuals and families of those who struggle with mental wellness issues.
